    The inspiration for this project came from four videotapes that documented my childhood. I observed that the videos showed the way my relatives raised me.  I was interested to find out why they raised me in this way. 


    What was the impetus for this change? 
    What was the reason behind it?    I discovered that the new ways emerged because of a huge shift in consciousness in Chinese society in the 1980s and 1990s. I, on the other hand, am part of a generation that has been transformed by the big time and then influenced by the shift in consciousness.

    I collected old items from the 80's and 90's and combined them into a set of fonts. Each font carries the characteristics of the past. 

    I put my newly created fonts into an old-time context, and I hope to help recreate the golden age with a montage approach.
