Beauty Mirrors Society
This project uses the newspaper as a medium to illustrate the topic of beauty from the perspective of plastic mannequins. By analysing and summarising the multiple influences of plastic mannequins in our society, and exploring the changes in the appearance of mannequins throughout history, it is brought out that history has influenced our changing definitions of beauty.
Ultimately, using the mannequins as a first-person point of view, i create a manifesto for how beauty can be defined, reflected and expressed. To call for a new way of thinking about beauty.
